Reinfored PVDF Hollow Fiber Membrane for Sewage Treatment with PVDF

 

 

 

Hollow fiber PVDF membrane ( polyvinylidene fluoride) is solid support commonly used in western blotting. PVDF membranes are hydrophobic, with different membrane pore sizes. As the membrane pore size decreases, the membrane will bind more strongly to low molecular weight proteins.
Hollow fiber PVDF membrane (polyvinylidene fluoride) is solid support commonly used in western blotting. PVDF membranes are hydrophobic, with different membrane pore sizes. As the membrane pore size decreases, the membrane will bind more strongly to low molecular weight proteins. For proteins larger than 20,000, a 0.01um membrane is used, and for proteins smaller than 20,000, a 0.2um membrane is used. PVDF membranes require pretreatment when used. The purpose of treatment with methanol is to activate the positively charged groups on the membrane, making it easier to bind with negatively charged proteins. PVDF membrane has high mechanical strength and is an ideal solid support material for imprinting
